Connecting to a Team Foundation Server

TeamLook allows the user to associate and connect to multiple Microsoft Team Foundation Servers, each of which can contain multiple Team Projects. By clicking the TeamLook menu on the Microsoft Outlook 2003 Toolbar and selecting the TeamLook Options menu item, a user can connect to a number of Team Foundation Servers. TeamLook Explorer View

The TeamLook Project View provides a structured and hierarchical view where users can quickly navigate their VSTS projects, enabling them to make quicker decisions. TeamLook brings together communication concepts and team project artifacts, enabling scenarios never before seen. These scenarios not only include viewing and running Team Reports directly inside Outlook but also creating an email while viewing a Team Report that contains the report as a visible attachment. More efficiency creating scenarios are described in more detail below.

TeamLook Auto Meetings

One of the great results of bringing these two worlds (communications and project accountability) together is the context available in each. With TeamLook Auto Meetings, a user can create a meeting invitation with a single click where the attendees can be inferred from the context in the Work Item. In the screenshot, you can see that both Joe and Juan have been interacting with this bug. Their names are automatically added to the attendee list for this newly created meeting about this bug.

Query Manager

The TeamLook Query Manager allows you to customize your Work Item views generated by running Work Item queries. Customizing and adding new queries is easy when using the visual interface provided by the TeamLook Query Manager. Upon modifying the queries in a project, TeamLook updates the folders representing those queries in the TeamLook Explorer.

Dynamic Querying inside Outlook

TeamLook allows users to use the rich dynamic querying capabilities provided by Outlook. By making VSTS Work Items first class citizens inside Microsoft Outlook, dynamic querying makes it very easy to create aggregate views of Work Items or dig into a large set of Work Items.

Customized Outlook Views

TeamLook provides users the ability to customize the columns available for each VSTS Query. Any field available on the TFS server can be selected and displayed or the view can be populated from other existing query views. This allows very specific query views for customized Process Templates.

Email from Group Select

Often when communicating about a situation in a VSTS team project, a single Work Item is not sufficient to provide the appropriate context. Using TeamLook's Email from Group Select feature, a user can efficiently create an email that contains a table view of the selected Work Items. This efficiency is more evidence that TeamLook enables users to make better decisions faster.
